Chinese Qing dynasty scholar’s pear-form monochrome porcelain bud vase with wide mouth covered overall in a Junyao type purplish blue flambé glaze that extends into the interior. The slightly recessed base is brown washed. The wood stand and padded silk presentation box are included. Early 19th century to possibly late 18th. Vase: 3 1/2” high x 3” diameter. Silk presentation box: 7 1/2"L x 5"W x 4 1/2"H. Very good overall condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. This piece is from the private collection of American expatriates who lived in Hong Kong in the 1970s and 1980s.
