Chinese Tang dynasty (618-907) pottery tomb figure depicting a female attendant dressed in a red hooded gown. 8 3/4" high. Very good overall condition with cold painted facial features and much original pigment remaining. Typical losses. The figure can stand upright on the flat base without a support. From an old Tucson, Arizona collection. Purchased from a California gallery in the 1990s.
