Chinese Tang dynasty (618-907) pottery figure of a court lady dressed in a long cold painted red skirt that flares at the bottom. Her arms are held in front. On her head is a tall conical headdress with long flaps draped across the side of her head. Her delicate facial features are finely painted. An acrylic stand is included. 11” high (excluding stand). Circa 7th to 8th century. Very good overall condition with typical wear and pigment loss. This figure was purchased in 1996 from Art Treasures Gallery in Hong Kong for US$650 and is from an Arizona collection.
