Massive Chinese late 19th century two door elmwood wardrobe cabinet with carved lower apron in a natural finish. A separate two door hat cabinet fits on top of the chest. The interior of the chest features two interior shelves, one with two drawers. The hat cabinet has one interior shelf. A round brass lock plate is at the center of the doors and round brass hardware is on the door hinges. The doors and central bars lift out for easy transit. This cabinet measures 72 1/2” + hat cabinet 31 1/2” = 104” high x 56 1/4” wide x 23 1/8” deep. The chest is sturdy and is in very good overall condition. There are some characteristic cracks in the wood from shrinkage. These are visible primarily on the sides and the front of the hat cabinet.
