Four Chinese Qing Daoguang Mark & Perod Famille Rose Wine Tea Cup
item#: 1399668
price: SOLD
Set of four Chinese Qing dynasty porcelain wine cups decorated in the doucai style in underglaze blue and overglaze famille rose enamels with a butterfly among flowering plants. An underglaze blue geometric border is at the rim. A six-character blue kaishu Daoguang mark (1821-1859) is on the base and the set is probably of the period. There are faint lightly incised “CHINA” marks to the bases for export purposes. About 3 3/8” diameter x slightly over 2 1/2” high. Very good overall condition. There are some firing imperfections to the foot rings, some burst bubbles to the rims, and one tiny frit to the top rim of one. As pictured, one of the four cups does not have the yellow and blue-green color filled in on the base decoration.
