Chinese Jin to Yuan dynasty Cizhou oval form stoneware wine bottle with four lug handles below the short, everted rim. The upper body is covered in a creamy white crackled slip and is separated from the lower iron-brown section by a narrow horizontal band. The unglazed base is covered in grit from the kiln. 11 3/4” high. Circa 12th to 13th century. Very good overall condition with typical wear and production flaws. There is a small glaze loss to one lug handle and burst bubble on the mouth above it (see closeup image). The chips to one side are possibly from the original production.
