Chinese meiping form porcelain cabinet vase with wide shoulders tapering to a narrow base decorated overall with dense Yaozhou type moulded and carved leafy floral decoration covered in a faintly crackled monochrome olive-green glaze that pools in the recesses. Short neck and everted wedge-shaped flange mouth. The interior and the slightly recessed base are glazed. The unglazed small narrow foot has burnt orange from firing. 7” high. Likely 20th century and possibly earlier. Very good overall condition. From the estate of Gerhard Lohmeier, a Diplomat at the German Embassy in Beijing from 1985 to 1989.
