Japanese woodblock print by Torii Kiyotada VII (1875-1941) depicting an actor portraying a samurai from the series "Eighteen Master Plays of the Ichikawa Family." The actor is positioned in a frame set against a calligraphic background. The print dates from the late Meiji to early Taisho Period (circa 1910). The artist's signature and red seal are at the lower right. The paper size is 10 1/8" x 6 3/4". The print is in very good overall condition with lacquer highlights. There is some minor soiling and wear to the edges.
